I’ve been following these guys for a while now. Not only do they run probably the coolest independent night in the country (Moda in Lincoln), they also are 1/4th of the ‘In New DJs we Trust’ line up on Radio 1, playing for two hours every first Friday of every month. Championing the electro infused, bassline and fidget sound, these guys have a lot to answer for!

I first heard of them back when Andy George released a mashup of Fake Blood’s ‘Mars’ (who incidentally, I am seeing tonight) with the totally androgynous vocal of Rye Rye over the top. Since then I’ve tracked down some of his other underrated releases and loved everything I’ve heard.

Their night ‘MODA’ has gone from strength to strength and in just 18 months has managed to build itself up to filling an entire warehouse of clubbers every month. Having booked the likes of Duke Dumont, Sinden, Crookers, Annie Mac, Kissy Sell Out, His Majesty Andre, Switch, Touché/Fake Blood and Calvin Harris; it really does read like a list of who’s who in today’s electro scene.

Their latest track together, a mashup of Jenny Evits with Yo Majesty! was played on their latest Radio 1 show and has a really nice ‘West Street Saturday Night’ feel to it, I’m especially liking that ravey synth which runs through the track.
