Ciao!

Ooooh, it’s all getting exciting. Major promo has already started for Tiga’s second album ‘Ciao’ which is being released on the 27th of April on his own label ‘Turbo’. Pulling out all the stops, ‘Ciao’ features collaborations with fellow super-producers ‘Soulwax‘ and ‘James Murphy‘ of DFA, with guest vocals from ‘Gonzales‘ and ‘Jake Shears‘.

Tiga’s first album ‘Sexor’ was released back in 2006 to high acclaim, it even won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Records of that year, which isn’t bad. With his highly anticipated Essential Mix being played out last week and with the album not far away, it’s getting hot in here.

Luckily, Tiga has a humorous take on lyrics with his music, an area which can sometimes be pulled off quite awkwardly. His second single from the album, ‘Shoes’, contains some very strange vocals, give it a listen.

Another track from the album, ‘What You Need’ has been in my top list of anticipated tracks for a while now. Find Voltorb, Catch Voltorb featured a live set video with the Proxy remix of the track back in February and it just sounded so exciting. The original (also with questionable vocals) can be heard on Tiga’s Myspace page sounds FANTASTIC as well.
